Prove Yourself to the Illusion

I was thinking about people who are successful. Well, at least people whom I would call “successful.” I realized that those I would call “successful” are the people who do the things which mean something to them. Without concern for what society or anyone else thinks. And because they do this, somehow, things fall into a fulfilling rhythm of work/life.

Naturally I wondered how it’s possible that people who are successful because they do the things which are meaningful to them aren’t all selfish pr*cks…or narcissists. I’ve decided that the reason for this is that while selfish pr*cks (and narcissists) do what matters to them, it matters greatly to their ego, not their essence. Which can result in success, only temporarily. But those who go in search of the rhythm of their essence and do things in line with it experience true fulfillment. And this naturally radiates into the world around them and effortlessly brings about actual abundance. Because that’s their vibe.

So remember that the ego is part of the illusion. But imagine the experience we could all have if the things we did spoke to our inner most self, instead of constantly “trying to prove ourselves” to the illusion.
