I’m beginning to find that meditations after a nap are just as awesome as morning meditations. I woke from a much needed rest late this afternoon thinking about how much life I’ve lived because of my bad decisions.
Where would we be without our bad decisions? Seriously. If we didn’t make them, what would we have to compare paradise to? Sure, good decisions make for great experiences, but they don’t offer nearly as much as the bad decisions. The lessons, the learning, the adjusting, the bending, the overcoming, the emotions, the rally, the recovery, the healing, the everything.
I think we’re supposed to make bad decisions. But we’re not supposed to let them weigh us down. We aren’t supposed to want to erase them. We’re supposed to embody everything they have to offer. When we understand this we can heal our minds and our hearts from the past, and forge ahead into the world ready to experience everything – the good and the “bad.” And when we return to our paradise, it’ll be even better for having experienced so much.
