Punishment is Always Regret

There are laws of Nature and laws of the jungle, laws on paper, and there are even laws we abide even though they’re not technically “laws.” We are so lost in the laws of this external life that we fail to remember that we are governed and guided by the ultimate of laws. And that is the law of our intuition.

I’m contemplating how our intuition is part of our higher selves. I haven’t looked up any other ideas on the topic, mostly because I want to uncover my personal truth first. To me, it seems that intuition differs from our conscious (and subconscious) in that it is the biological wisdom we’ve inherited from generations past. Those external reality survival instincts that were impressed upon DNA and passed down to the next generations.

If even a fraction of this is true, then there is an interesting balance between higher consciousness and intuition. Yet neither is more powerful than the other. One is simply how to survive in the outer reality so you can get as close as possible to creating your life’s vision.

And yet, for some reason we ignore our intuition. We think we consciously know better. Or maybe it’s that we just don’t want to hear the truth. Not yet anyway. So we continue to break the ultimate law with the hope that our innate wisdom is wrong. When we should just surrender to our faith. Alas, we condemn ourselves to the punishment. What’s the punishment? Funny you should ask. Because you know it all too well. The punishment is always regret.
