That’s Life’s Circumstance

I’ve been thinking about how we use certain phrases to describe certain things. More often than not, we use “That’s Life” as a way to accept the less desirable aspects of life over which we feel we had no control. Yet when something good happens we enjoy, for only a moment, the fortuitous nature of the circumstance. Only to quickly dismiss it with a reminder of how fleeting goodness can be. Maybe this is just how we protect ourselves from being let down.

Maybe if we started saying “That’s Life” when good things happen we could begin approaching life with a healthier perspective. Which would, in turn, begin to improve everything.
