Facing Your Fears

There is nothing to fear in the darkness of your mind. It’s the anticipation which is wrought with negative possibilities. Once you surrender to the honesty which awaits you there, you embrace that bravery isn’t absent of fear, only that the possibilities beyond the fear are infinitely better than the present circumstance. (I know presidents and philosophers said something similar.) And you will quickly see that all that you thought awaited you in the darkness, didn’t.

Everything takes practice. The more you desire something, the more you focus on it, the more willing you are to put in the work. Just like learning to tie your shoes. So be patient with yourself. Get used to the awkward feeling of a new rhythm. It’ll come and your life will improve.
